Conceito
A missão do Ulteo é simplificar a tua vida digital, ex, a maneira como as pessoas usam o seu PC, aplicações, informações e serviços online. O nosso primeiro serviço é o Desktop Online Ulteo (de momento versão beta), que permite que os utilizadores seguramente testem e usem a última versão das aplicações desktop com um único click.
Não há download nem instalação, não há patches nem upgrades necessários. Podes partilhar o teu desktop com a tua familia, amigos ou colegas. O Ulteo planeia lançar outros serviços, simplificando a vida dos utilizadores de PC, dando acesso facilitado a aplicações desktop e serviços online, como gestão de informação nos próximos meses.
Ulteo intends to contribute a portion of its profits to humanitarian and ecological organizations. We believe that every company which benefits from the market place should help fight against child malnutrition and current ecological disasters.
FAQ
Posso usar o Desktop Ulteo em qualquer lado?
To ensure a good experience of the Ulteo Online desktop we recommend a broadband connection. You may experience some latency as we currently have servers in Western Europe and North America's eastern seaboard. We will gradually add more locations to ensure optimal quality of service. The Ulteo Online desktop can still work with limited bandwidth, but depending also on your location, your user experience might not be optimal. If this is the case, please let us know, be patient and/or upgrade to broadband.

Ulteo was started by Gaël Duval, recognized for developing a user-friendly Linux distribution now enjoyed by millions of people around the world. MandrakeSoft was a pioneer of the Open Source movement. Other serial high tech entrepreneurs are among the founders. We are looking for very talented software developers. For the beta test we have included a few useful open source applications that you should like. The list will grow longer. We are going to add the ones requested by most so just let us know your wish list in the questionnaire. We'll add both open source and windows apps.
