hi there

how can i mount other windows drives in Virtual Desktop, besides the default ones ( desktop and my files), i already tried to mount sda1, hda1, etc. but there are no such devices... is there a way to mount my other windows partitions (ntfs, on a sata-drive ) ?

Your best bet is probably to share the drives from Windows and then connect to them using Samba.

For now it's not implemented but in the next version (and/or beta) it will be douable.So stay tune

i hope this feature will be implemented in the next releases...

i dont trust samba so much Very Happy, ftp will be an easier/safer way Cool

Hi chaoz,

I had the same problem - but did find a solution. I mounted my drives onto my desktop (or a folder underneath the desktop) ... If you are using NT or above (non 9x stuff) - you should be able to
go to Administrator Tools,
then Computer Management,
then disk management
Right click on the drive you want to mount and there you will see an option "Change Drive Letter or Paths"
Click Add New .. and point it to an empty folder under your desktop.

Now you have access to that entire drive from Virtual Desktop - if you go via the Desktop share/mount point.

digilus, this is the most excellent solution ! I just tried it with a USB thumdrive and it works great ... I can access all files on the thumbdrive with the Ulteo tools. Thanks ...
